母さんの好きやった帯
私、この帯を結んだ母さんを見たことない。
おばあちゃんからもろた帯やそうです。
漆に金糸、なかなか高価な帯やって
聞きました。
そらぁ、こんな重たい帯、私やったら締めたないわ、
おばあちゃんはこれを袋帯で締めてたんやなぁ・・・・・
大事やったやろなぁ。
私がまだ生まれてなかった頃に、父さんの仕事で借金をしたことがあったそうな。
その時、よぉけ着物、売ったんやて、
でも、この帯は手元にのこしたんやて、
母さんがこの帯を名古屋帯に仕立て直したように、
私も仕立て直そうと思う。
最初は付け帯びにでも、て思てんけど 止めた。
だんだん着物着る機会がなくなってきてる。
そんで、これを引き継ぐ人に渡すことが出来へんねん。
ウチの子、男の子二人やし それに、どこの国に行ってしまうかもわからへん。
そんなんやったら、
いっそのことReijiのベストにでも作り変えようかな？
"Her Favourite Obe"
I never saw my mother wear this Obi.
I think her mother gave it to her,
and she altered its width to what we have today,
probably to make it easier to tie.
This piece is very unusual for two reasons,
It is wide in the middle and narrow at
the ends(all other Obishave only one width).
The other unusual thing about this piece is that ti uses real gold dust in the decoration.
It is made of heavy silk and weight 2 to 3kilos.
As you can see the material is a golden brown colur and the bird and flower pattern is
golden thread edged with gold dust.
It doesn't end there the backround is decorated with a clear Japanese lacquer.
I talk when there is no birth yet.
I hear that father's staff had borrowed money on business.
I hear that mother sold a lot of kimonos of her at that time.
However, this belt was not sold.
I will also do the same thing as make this belt in an easy wearing by mother and changed.
Recently, kimono putting on chance decreases as for me.
To our regret, I have only two sons.
I do not have my daughter who presents these kimonos.
I will make in the vest of Reiji and change it.
