おばあちゃんの形見
名古屋帯に仕立てたぁるけど、
前は、袋帯やった、重たい帯や。
見てのお通り、木目調の地織りに、
ほんまもんの金糸、銀糸、赤茶、鶯色で
小さい燕の織りが入ってる。
地味な帯のわりに、高価な帯やわ。
この帯も百年は経ってのぉても、それに近い年齢やね、
私の年齢ではもぉ、締められるんやけど、
おばあちゃん、小さい人やったから私には短い。
作り帯にでもせんと使われへん。
おばあちゃんも中年以降から９０歳ぐらいまで使ってたそうな。
最後は従兄弟の結婚式やったやろか、この帯締めたん。
さすがに最後の２年はしんどぉて着物、着られんかった。
９２歳、大往生。
最後の月、全てのことを してしま仕舞わはった。
最後の週、彼女は洗礼を受けて、そ んで永い旅に備えはった。
私の大好きなおばあちゃん、
あんなに素晴らしい人はいてへん！
2008.10 この帯を解いた。さぁ、何をつくろうか！

"Keepsake From Grandmother"
It is Nagoya-obi now. But it seems to have been a special Obi before. When I had this Obi for the first time, it was surprised because it was heavy.
"Grandma, it is not likely to have become tired. "
The Obi has a distinctive gold thread pattern running though it.
The pattern of swallows covers the Obi and are small, regular and in four different colors-
chestnut brown, metallic green, silver and real gold on an umber background with a wood grain pattern throughout.
A subtle but rich combination of elements.
This Obi was over ninety years might have passed.
My grandma was a small person, it is too short for me though I became an age for which it can be used.
The grandma used it up to about ninety years old since the middle age. This Obi was tightened in cousin's wedding at the end.
In the last two years of her life my grandma gave up on wearing Kimono because it was too difficult. Ninety two years.
The last month of her life she prepared everything for her passing. In the last week, while on her deathbed she was baptized as a Christian and died peacefully, all thing ready for her journey.
My loved Grandma. Such a wonderful person might not be the world.
